Quaid-e-Azam is a national holiday celebrated in Pakistan on 25th December every year. It commemorates the birth anniversary of Muhammad Ali Jinnah who is known to be the founder of Pakistan. Quaid-e-Azam is an Urdu word that means Great Leader. Jinnah was born on 25th December,1876 in Karachi.

He had the ambitions of creating a separate Nation-State for the Indian Muslims. This culminated into the Partition of India and the formation of a new nation known as Pakistan on 14th August 1947. He was the first Governor General of Pakistan and his contributions to the newly born state is second to none. He is also attributed as Father of the Nation.
